Why Evaluate?

Evaluation helps you find out what works, what doesn’t, and what other people think about your work. It is, quite simply, a way of proving and improving what you do.

Evaluation helps you tell the story of the changes brought about by your project, intervention or organisation. Whether you are striving to improve the experience of your audience, improve your organisational resilience or simply want to measure then shout about your impact – evaluation can answer your questions and help you share your project story and the difference you make in a compelling way with the people that matter.

Let me show you how.

“I thought the St Austell Townscape Heritage scheme evaluation report was really well produced and captured the successes and issues of a very challenging scheme in a clear, easy to understand and professional way.  It was great to have an independent assessment with ’fresh eye’s’ as it’s easy to get too close and not fully appreciate what was achieved.  Mel was very easy to work with and constructive and informative in discussions.  She produced a high quality comprehensive report backed up through feedback from face to face interviews and community surveys.  The lessons learnt were honest and ‘laid bare’ and invaluable for the project team and our funders.”

“Working with Mel on our NLHF funded resilience building project was a really positive experience. Evaluation can sometimes feel a bit dry, that it’s something you just have to do at the end! Not with Mel. She takes a really holistic approach which we found helped to bond the team, provide greater focus and encouraged us to reflect on lessons learnt and celebrate our successes. Our final evaluation report is a really useful tool which will help to shape our work going forwards. NLHF commented on what an insightful document it was.”
